Instructor: Dustyn Allen Taught: 1st semester, A days, Afternoon session Credit: 1.0 high school Eligibility: 10-12 grades Prerequisite: Recommend one of the following classes: Art Foundations, Design & Visual Communications, a strong understanding of the elements and principles of design Fees: $25, Replacement fee of $400 will be charged for lost or non-repairable camera) Program Description: This course prepares individuals to use artistic techniques combined with a commercial perspective to effectively communicate ideas and information to business and consumer audiences via the use of digital photography. Instruction includes training in specialized camera and equipment operation, software usage, maintenance, applications to commercial and industrial needs, and photography business operations. |
Intro to Construction
Instructor: Arden DeMille Taught: 2nd semester, B days, Afternoon session Credit: 1.0 high school Eligibility: 10-12 grades Fees: $10 Program Description: A course that generally prepares individuals in the following areas: basic safety, introduction to blueprint reading, introduction to power tools, introduction to hand tools, and introduction to construction math. It also includes an industry overview, what to expect on the job and specific careers opportunities. This course is based on the current National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) task list. |
