CTE INTERNSHIP - RELATED WORK-BASED LEARNING

  • This course will be approved by the Work-Based Learning and advisement teams for Juniors and Seniors who are on track for graduation ONLY. minimum 2.0 gpa
  • A maximum of two credits can be earned for internships during a student's high school experience.  0.5 credit will be applied toward completion of a pathway with the other credits listed as electives. 
  • If a student is completing more than one pathway, multiple internships may be required to complete the pathway.  Note: not all pathways require an internship for completion. 
  • Maximum of two periods per semester. These credits are earned for internship hours completed during the school day. 
  • A minimum of 40 internship hours per class enrolled, completed LinkedIn/digital portfolio, and class assignments will be required to earn a letter grade in this course. 
  • An online application and agreement paperwork must be completed by deadlines to be considered for an internship. 
  • Internship site must be approved by the WBL team before the summer break for fall interns and before winter break for spring interns. 
  • Internships are not "work study" or "home release" and may not be completed as an extension of a student's current employment or with family members.
